With an ocean view overlooking pastures, orchard and our
organic garden, your simple and charming self-contained suite
has a separate entrance from your own private deck. There
is a barbecue, table and chairs, and the deck is bordered
by a flower and culinary herb bed for your enjoyment.
In the living room a sofa bed for friends or children adds
to the versatility of your suite. There is a gas fireplace
for spring or fall or even winter use. A stereo and satellite
TV are provided. We also offer high-speed wireless internet connectivity for your laptop computer.
There is a private telephone
with a separate number from the main house, and local calls
are free.
In the comfortable bedroom there is a queen sized bed and
large closet. The private bath is tiled with tub and shower.
All towels and linens are, of course, provided.
The kitchenette includes everything you need--fridge, microwave,
dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, electric toaster oven, electric
frying pan, dishes, cutlery, and more. There is a side burner
on the outdoor barbecue.
We provide all breakfast supplies including Salt Spring Island
Coffee and local free-range eggs. If you have any dietary
restrictions or desires please let us know. You are also welcome
to in season vegetables from our organic garden.
It’s very rural and quiet at Alder Creek Farm and it’s
a great place to get away from the fast pace of modern life.
Sit on the deck in the long evenings and watch the mauve summer
night slowly envelope the pastoral landscape. It’s a
sublime experience.
Our rates are $115 per night (tax included) for two people and children under 12 are free. Each additional adult is $20 extra per day. Due to high demand there is a two-night minimum. A week long stay for two is $700. Other rates are negotiable. We are open from March 15th to November 1st. Check in is at 3PM and checkout
is at 11AM. We will store your luggage if you are taking a
later ferry.
Reservations are recommended. A deposit of one night’s
stay is required for a weekend (2 or 3 nights). For a week
long stay the deposit is 50% of the cost of the booking. The
deposit is fully refundable if the booking is canceled 30
days prior to the first night.
We accept Visa, Master Card, Travelers cheques, and Canadian
or US cash. Full payment is due upon check-in.
For the comfort of our guests the suite is a non-smoking
environment.
Sorry, no pets.
We strive to be as flexible as possible and special arrangements
can be made. We offer complimentary pick-up at the Fulford
Marina or Ferry Terminal. Let us know what you want from your
holiday on Salt Spring Island and we will try to arrange it
for you.
